Why cant nose piercings be lowered to 14 with a parent the same as belly button piercings?

I really dont get this: to get your nose pierced in the uk they say you have to be 16 with a parent but if you wanted your belly button pierced they would do it when you are 13 years old with a parent. i just do not get it it should be the same after all i know you wil see the nose piercing more then the belly button piercing but still they should be put the same. do you agree?Why cant nose piercings be lowered to 14 with a parent the same as belly button piercings?
Really, you can be 13 and get navel pierced in the UK? That seems way to young, I mean your body still has a lot of growing to do at that point. Reputable shops in the US won't do any piercing regardless of whether or not you have parental consent for anyone under 16. So yes, I agree, that is stupid. Of course you probably want peeps to agree the age for both should be 13-14, when I think it should be16+ for both.Why cant nose piercings be lowered to 14 with a parent the same as belly button piercings?
I got my nose pierced when i was 12 ..... i live in scotlandd :)

I think because the scar of a surgery if a piercing goes wrong is less visible on the belly than an amputated nose.
Ok what i kind of am guessing is that because kids go to school.. so with the belly button piercing in will be hidden by clothes where as with the nose piercing you cant hide it.. therefore alot of schools dont allow piercings other than the ears...
