What kind of parent would keep their child from watching a speech about working hard and staying in school?

Your premise and your assumption is false

Originally the Obama speech ws designed as a propaganda piece to boost Obama's sagging poll numbers.

However when millions of parents objected to Obama's plan to spread his propaganda among a captive audience of young school children, Obama wisely changed the speech to be an innocuous speech about working hard and staying in school. What kind of parent would keep their child from watching a speech about working hard and staying in school?
Only the ideologically, anti Obama parents.

Evidently they are afraid Obama might inspire them to ......work hard and stay in school ?

And as far as political goes...everything is political and as Tip O'neal used to say, '; all politics is local '; .

My guess is that these people who are so angry at Obama are coming from a fear based paranoia and racist perspective. Most of them are white.

And I do agree with Grumpy. What kind of parent would keep their child from watching a speech about working hard and staying in school?
An ignorant automaton who is susceptible to leadership by emotion, rather than leadership by logic.

These people shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. They are quite capable of becoming very dangerous.

Is it logical for republicans to accuse democrats of being Obama cultist, when it is the republicans who attribute super human powers to the man? Of course not.

The only true difference between many of these people and the Taliban, is where they were born.
Mindless drones. Parrots. Propagandized automatons.
People who dont give a jot about their children.
a republicant lmao 2 points =]
assholes
The majority of US citizens do not trust this administration and this president. He never put the contents of his speech anywhere to be read by parents or teachers. He is a socialist and children's minds are easy to shape so for all of those who do not trust him and who do not want a socialist nation, were suspicious of his intentions. Finally, weeks after announcing his talk to students, his talking points were released and I am sure it is not the same speech that was initially intended, but because of the uproar, something he's not used to dealing with since the mainstream media thinks he is the messiah, he changed his speech.
Now that he finally released the speech, I can say that i dont have a problem with it. Why do you think it is unreasonable for parents to want to know what their child is being told beforehand by a person they dont trust? All we asked for was content of the speech. That is called good responsible engaged parenting.
when the president submits a lesson plan for the teacher to have the children write an paragraph about how they could help obama--ME--this eerily rings of allegiance to the president not to America-this is how ego maniacs indoctrinate children to serve them-this is a walk toward loss of freedom and a return to slavery, (slavery to the state)- when i saw courtney cox in a public service announcement encourage the viewers to ';pledge allegiance to'; the president is when i made the decision i would not let my children watch the president--he is the most controversial, polarizing president that we have ever and hopefully will ever have
Maybe you should open your liberal mind and look at the big picture.
Ones who care about their children and don't think political indoctrination should take place in schools.
