Is there a form or process to go through if a parent wants legal guardianship back of her infant?

Guardianship was given up due to imprisonment which is over in a few days. Thanks for your help !Is there a form or process to go through if a parent wants legal guardianship back of her infant?
If you only signed over legal guardianship and not child custody there should not be a problem. Go to lawguru.com and submit your question to an attorney. They will email you back an answer that is given by a professional. Is there a form or process to go through if a parent wants legal guardianship back of her infant?
If you were involved with social services (cps), then you would need to talk with them as there may be conditions or things you need to accomplish before getting your child back. But if you, on your own, assigned guardianship to someone then you just need to take back your child. But think about this...how long were you in jail? How old was the child when you went in? Will this child know you or are you a stranger? You can't just walk in and take the child if he/she was an infant and is now 3 and expect the child to be comfortable. Well, it wouldn't be right anyways. It would have to be a gradual process for them to get to know and trust you again. And for an older child, without knowing the reasons you went to jail or what kind of home life you had with the child, will he/she trust you? You may have to do some visitation first. Whatever is best for the child.
Try the sites below for research on this topic. You will need to change the location/state in which you reside. I wish you the very best of luck.
